PCGF3-PIGG Fusion FISH Probe
The PCGF3-PIGG Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PCGF3 and PIGG genes. The fusion of the PCGF3 and PIGG genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

PCGF3 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene contains a C3HC4 type RING finger, which is a motif known to be involved in protein-protein interactions. The specific function of this protein has not yet been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Polycomb Group Ring Finger 3
Chromosome: CHR4: 699572 -764427
Locus: 4p16.3
PIGG Gene Summary
This gene encodes an enzyme involved in glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchor biosynthesis. The encoded protein, which is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum, is involved in transferring ethanoloamine phosphate to mannose 2 of glycosylphosphatidylinositol species H7 to form species H8. Allelic variants of this gene have been associated with intellectual disability, hypotonia, and early-onset seizures. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2016]
Gene Name: Phosphatidylinositol Glycan Anchor Biosynthesis Class G
Chromosome: CHR4: 492988 -533320
Locus: 4p16.3
