PBRM1-KYNU Fusion FISH Probe
The PBRM1-KYNU Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the PBRM1 and KYNU genes. The fusion of the PBRM1 and KYNU genes has been associated with Brain Lower Grade Glioma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

KYNU Gene Summary
Kynureninase is a pyridoxal-5'-phosphate (pyridoxal-P) dependent enzyme that catalyzes the cleavage of L-kynurenine and L-3-hydroxykynurenine into anthranilic and 3-hydroxyanthranilic acids, respectively. Kynureninase is involved in the biosynthesis of NAD cofactors from tryptophan through the kynurenine pathway. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Gene Name: Kynureninase
Chromosome: CHR2: 143635194 -143799885
Locus: 2q22.2
PBRM1 Gene Summary
This locus encodes a subunit of ATP-dependent chromatin-remodeling complexes. The encoded protein has been identified as in integral component of complexes necessary for ligand-dependent transcriptional activation by nuclear hormone receptors. Mutations at this locus have been associated with primary clear cell renal cell carcinoma. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2012]
Gene Name: Polybromo 1
Chromosome: CHR3: 52579367 -52719866
Locus: 3p21.1
