NXN-PRPSAP2 Fusion FISH Probe

The NXN-PRPSAP2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the NXN and PRPSAP2 genes. The fusion of the NXN and PRPSAP2 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

Turnaround Time: 7-10 Business Days    Shipping Time: 1-2 Day Expedited Shipping

PRPSAP2 Gene Summary

This gene encodes a protein that associates with the enzyme phosphoribosylpyrophosphate synthetase (PRS). PRS catalyzes the formation of phosphoribosylpyrophosphate which is a substrate for synthesis of purine and pyrimidine nucleotides, histidine, tryptophan and NAD. PRS exists as a complex with two catalytic subunits and two associated subunits. This gene encodes a non-catalytic associated subunit of PRS. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]

Gene Name: Phosphoribosyl Pyrophosphate Synthetase Associated Protein 2

Chromosome: CHR17: 18759611 -18834599

Locus: 17p11.2

NXN Gene Summary

This gene encodes a member of the thioredoxin superfamily, a group of small, multifunctional redox-active proteins. Members of this family are characterized by a conserved active motif called the thioredoxin fold that catalyzes disulfide bond formation and isomerization. The encoded protein acts a redox-dependent regulator of the Wnt signaling pathway and is involved in cell growth and differentiation. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]

Gene Name: Nucleoredoxin
