NUP85-NR5A2 Fusion FISH Probe
The NUP85-NR5A2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the NUP85 and NR5A2 genes. The fusion of the NUP85 and NR5A2 genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

NR5A2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a DNA-binding zinc finger transcription factor and is a member of the fushi tarazu factor-1 subfamily of orphan nuclear receptors. The encoded protein is involved in the expression of genes for hepatitis B virus and cholesterol biosynthesis, and may be an important regulator of embryonic development. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2016]
Gene Name: Nuclear Receptor Subfamily 5 Group A Member 2
Chromosome: CHR1: 199996769 -200146550
Locus: 1q32.1
NUP85 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein component of the Nup107-160 subunit of the nuclear pore complex. Nuclear pore complexes are embedded in the nuclear envelope and promote bidirectional transport of macromolecules between the cytoplasm and nucleus. The encoded protein can also bind to the C-terminus of chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 2 (CCR2) and promote chemotaxis of monocytes, thereby participating in the inflammatory response. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2014]
Gene Name: Nucleoporin 85
Chromosome: CHR17: 73201596 -73231854
Locus: 17q25.1
