NUMB-TTLL5 Fusion FISH Probe
The NUMB-TTLL5 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the NUMB and TTLL5 genes. The fusion of the NUMB and TTLL5 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

NUMB Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene plays a role in the determination of cell fates during development. The encoded protein, whose degradation is induced in a proteasome-dependent manner by MDM2, is a membrane-bound protein that has been shown to associate with EPS15, LNX1, and NOTCH1. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2016]
Gene Name: NUMB, Endocytic Adaptor Protein
Chromosome: CHR14: 73741917 -73925286
Locus: 14q24.2-q24.3
TTLL5 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the tubulin tyrosine ligase like protein family. This protein interacts with two glucocorticoid receptor coactivators, transcriptional intermediary factor 2 and steroid receptor coactivator 1. This protein may function as a coregulator of glucocorticoid receptor mediated gene induction and repression. This protein may also function as an alpha tubulin polyglutamylase.[provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010]
Gene Name: Tubulin Tyrosine Ligase Like 5
Chromosome: CHR14: 76127550 -76421425
Locus: 14q24.3
