NTN1-RANGAP1 Fusion FISH Probe
The NTN1-RANGAP1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the NTN1 and RANGAP1 genes. The fusion of the NTN1 and RANGAP1 genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

RANGAP1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that associates with the nuclear pore complex and participates in the regulation of nuclear transport. The encoded protein interacts with Ras-related nuclear protein 1 (RAN) and regulates guanosine triphosphate (GTP)-binding and exchange. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]
Gene Name: Ran GTPase Activating Protein 1
Chromosome: CHR22: 41641614 -41682216
Locus: 22q13.2
NTN1 Gene Summary
Netrin is included in a family of laminin-related secreted proteins. The function of this gene has not yet been defined; however, netrin is thought to be involved in axon guidance and cell migration during development. Mutations and loss of expression of netrin suggest that variation in netrin may be involved in cancer development. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Netrin 1
Chromosome: CHR17: 8924858 -9147317
Locus: 17p13.1
