NT5E-ASCC3 Fusion FISH Probe
The NT5E-ASCC3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the NT5E and ASCC3 genes. The fusion of the NT5E and ASCC3 genes has been associated with Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

NT5E Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a plasma membrane protein that catalyzes the conversion of extracellular nucleotides to membrane-permeable nucleosides. The encoded protein is used as a determinant of lymphocyte differentiation. Defects in this gene can lead to the calcification of joints and arteries. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Mar 2011]
Gene Name: 5'-nucleotidase Ecto
Chromosome: CHR6: 86159301 -86205509
Locus: 6q14.3
ASCC3 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to a family of helicases that are involved in the ATP-dependent unwinding of nucleic acid duplexes. The encoded protein is the largest subunit of the activating signal cointegrator 1 complex that is involved in DNA repair and resistance to alkylation damage. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2013]
Gene Name: Activating Signal Cointegrator 1 Complex Subunit 3
Chromosome: CHR6: 100956607 -101329224
Locus: 6q16.3
