NSMAF-TOX Fusion FISH Probe
The NSMAF-TOX Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the NSMAF and TOX genes. The fusion of the NSMAF and TOX genes has been associated with Colon Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

NSMAF Gene Summary
This gene encodes a WD-repeat protein that binds the cytoplasmic sphingomyelinase activation domain of the 55kD tumor necrosis factor receptor. This protein is required for TNF-mediated activation of neutral sphingomyelinase and may play a role in regulating TNF-induced cellular responses such as inflammation. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2009]
Gene Name: Neutral Sphingomyelinase Activation Associated Factor
Chromosome: CHR8: 59496063 -59572404
Locus: 8q12.1
TOX Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene contains a HMG box DNA binding domain. HMG boxes are found in many eukaryotic proteins involved in chromatin assembly, transcription and replication. This protein may function to regulate T-cell development.[provided by RefSeq, Apr 2009]
Gene Name: Thymocyte Selection Associated High Mobility Group Box
Chromosome: CHR8: 59717976 -60031767
Locus: 8q12.1
