NRIP1-DSCAM Fusion FISH Probe
The NRIP1-DSCAM Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the NRIP1 and DSCAM genes. The fusion of the NRIP1 and DSCAM genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

DSCAM Gene Summary
This gene is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell adhesion molecules (Ig-CAMs), and is involved in human central and peripheral nervous system development. This gene is a candidate for Down syndrome and congenital heart disease (DSCHD). A gene encoding a similar Ig-CAM protein is located on chromosome 11. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2012]
Gene Name: DS Cell Adhesion Molecule
Chromosome: CHR21: 41384342 -42219039
Locus: 21q22.2
NRIP1 Gene Summary
Nuclear receptor interacting protein 1 (NRIP1) is a nuclear protein that specifically interacts with the hormone-dependent activation domain AF2 of nuclear receptors. Also known as RIP140, this protein modulates transcriptional activity of the estrogen receptor. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Nuclear Receptor Interacting Protein 1
Chromosome: CHR21: 16333555 -16437126
