NME7-KMO Fusion FISH Probe
The NME7-KMO Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the NME7 and KMO genes. The fusion of the NME7 and KMO genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

KMO Gene Summary
This gene encodes a mitochondrion outer membrane protein that catalyzes the hydroxylation of L-tryptophan metabolite, L-kynurenine, to form L-3-hydroxykynurenine. Studies in yeast identified this gene as a therapeutic target for Huntington disease. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011]
Gene Name: Kynurenine 3-monooxygenase
Chromosome: CHR1: 241695679 -241758944
Locus: 1q43
NME7 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the non-metastatic expressed family of nucleoside diphosphate kinases. Members of this family are enzymes that catalyzes phosphate transfer from nucleoside triphosphates to nucleoside diphosphates. This protein contains two kinase domains, one of which is involved in autophosphorylation and the other may be inactive. This protein localizes to the centrosome and functions as a component of the gamma-tubulin ring complex which plays a role in microtubule organization. Mutations in this gene may be associated with venous thromboembolism. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2016]
Gene Name: NME/NM23 Family Member 7
Chromosome: CHR1: 169101768 -169337186
Locus: 1q24.2
