NFYC-ZBTB7B Fusion FISH Probe
The NFYC-ZBTB7B Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the NFYC and ZBTB7B genes. The fusion of the NFYC and ZBTB7B genes has been associated with Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

NFYC Gene Summary
This gene encodes one subunit of a trimeric complex forming a highly conserved transcription factor that binds with high specificity to CCAAT motifs in the promoters of a variety of genes. The encoded protein, subunit C, forms a tight dimer with the B subunit, a prerequisite for subunit A association. The resulting trimer binds to DNA with high specificity and affinity. Subunits B and C each contain a histone-like motif. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2008]
Gene Name: Nuclear Transcription Factor Y Subunit Gamma
Chromosome: CHR1: 41157241 -41237275
Locus: 1p34.2
ZBTB7B Gene Summary
This gene encodes a zinc finger-containing transcription factor that acts as a key regulator of lineage commitment of immature T-cell precursors. It is necessary and sufficient for commitment of CD4 lineage, while its absence causes CD8 commitment. It also functions as a transcriptional repressor of type I collagen genes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2012]
Gene Name: Zinc Finger And BTB Domain Containing 7B
Chromosome: CHR1: 154975111 -154990999
Locus: 1q21.3
