NEO1-CNRIP1 Fusion FISH Probe
The NEO1-CNRIP1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the NEO1 and CNRIP1 genes. The fusion of the NEO1 and CNRIP1 genes has been associated with Ovarian Serous Cystadenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

NEO1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a cell surface protein that is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. The encoded protein consists of four N-terminal immunoglobulin-like domains, six fibronectin type III domains, a transmembrane domain and a C-terminal internal domain that shares homology with the tumor suppressor candidate gene DCC. This protein may be involved in cell growth and differentiation and in cell-cell adhesion. Defects in this gene are associated with cell proliferation in certain cancers. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010]
Gene Name: Neogenin 1
Chromosome: CHR15: 73344824 -73597547
Locus: 15q24.1
CNRIP1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that interacts with the C-terminal tail of cannabinoid receptor 1. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]
Gene Name: Cannabinoid Receptor Interacting Protein 1
Chromosome: CHR2: 68511302 -68547183
Locus: 2p14
