NEDD4L-TLN2 Fusion FISH Probe
The NEDD4L-TLN2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the NEDD4L and TLN2 genes. The fusion of the NEDD4L and TLN2 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

NEDD4L Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the Nedd4 family of HECT domain E3 ubiquitin ligases. HECT domain E3 ubiquitin ligases transfer ubiquitin from E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes to protein substrates, thus targeting specific proteins for lysosomal degradation. The encoded protein mediates the ubiquitination of multiple target substrates and plays a critical role in epithelial sodium transport by regulating the cell surface expression of the epithelial sodium channel, ENaC. Single nucleotide polymorphisms in this gene may be associated with essential hypertension. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. Gene Name: Neural Precursor Cell Expressed, Developmentally Down-regulated 4-like, E3 Ubiquitin Protein Ligase
Chromosome: CHR18: 55711609 -56068772
Locus: 18q21.31
TLN2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein related to talin 1, a cytoskeletal protein that plays a significant role in the assembly of actin filaments and in spreading and migration of various cell types, including fibroblasts and osteoclasts. This protein has a different pattern of expression compared to talin 1 but, like talin 1, is thought to associate with unique transmembrane receptors to form novel linkages between extracellular matrices and the actin cytoskeleton. Gene Name: Talin 2
Chromosome: CHR15: 62939509 -63136829
Locus: 15q22.2
