NBEAL2-ATP2A3 Fusion FISH Probe
The NBEAL2-ATP2A3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the NBEAL2 and ATP2A3 genes. The fusion of the NBEAL2 and ATP2A3 genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

ATP2A3 Gene Summary
This gene encodes one of the SERCA Ca(2+)-ATPases, which are intracellular pumps located in the sarcoplasmic or endoplasmic reticula of muscle cells. This enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the translocation of calcium from the cytosol to the sarcoplasmic reticulum lumen, and is involved in calcium sequestration associated with muscular excitation and contraction. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: ATPase Sarcoplasmic/endoplasmic Reticulum Ca2+ Transporting 3
Chromosome: CHR17: 3827162 -3867758
Locus: 17p13.2
NBEAL2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene contains a beige and Chediak-Higashi (BEACH) domain and multiple WD40 domains, and may play a role in megakaryocyte alpha-granule biogenesis. Mutations in this gene are a cause of gray platelet syndrome. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2011]
Gene Name: Neurobeachin Like 2
Chromosome: CHR3: 47021172 -47051193
Locus: 3p21.31
