MYO10-PFDN2 Fusion FISH Probe
The MYO10-PFDN2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the MYO10 and PFDN2 genes. The fusion of the MYO10 and PFDN2 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

MYO10 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the myosin superfamily. The protein represents an unconventional myosin; it should not be confused with the conventional non-muscle myosin-10 (MYH10). Unconventional myosins contain the basic domains of conventional myosins and are further distinguished from class members by their tail domains. This gene functions as an actin-based molecular motor and plays a role in integration of F-actin and microtubule cytoskeletons during meiosis. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2011]
Gene Name: Myosin X
Chromosome: CHR5: 16662015 -16936385
Locus: 5p15.1
PFDN2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the prefoldin beta subunit family. The encoded protein is one of six subunits of prefoldin, a molecular chaperone complex that binds and stabilizes newly synthesized polypeptides, thereby allowing them to fold correctly. The complex, consisting of two alpha and four beta subunits, forms a double beta barrel assembly with six protruding coiled-coils. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Prefoldin Subunit 2
Chromosome: CHR1: 161070345 -161087866
Locus: 1q23.3
