MYH9-HSP90AA1 Fusion FISH Probe
The MYH9-HSP90AA1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the MYH9 and HSP90AA1 genes. The fusion of the MYH9 and HSP90AA1 genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

HSP90AA1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is an inducible molecular chaperone that functions as a homodimer. The encoded protein aids in the proper folding of specific target proteins by use of an ATPase activity that is modulated by co-chaperones. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2012]
Gene Name: Heat Shock Protein 90 Alpha Family Class A Member 1
Chromosome: CHR14: 102547074 -102606086
Locus: 14q32.31
MYH9 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a conventional non-muscle myosin; this protein should not be confused with the unconventional myosin-9a or 9b (MYO9A or MYO9B). The encoded protein is a myosin IIA heavy chain that contains an IQ domain and a myosin head-like domain which is involved in several important functions, including cytokinesis, cell motility and maintenance of cell shape. Defects in this gene have been associated with non-syndromic sensorineural deafness autosomal dominant type 17, Epstein syndrome, Alport syndrome with macrothrombocytopenia, Sebastian syndrome, Fechtner syndrome and macrothrombocytopenia with progressive sensorineural deafness. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2011]
Gene Name: Myosin Heavy Chain 9
Chromosome: CHR22: 36677322 -36784063
Locus: 22q12.3
