MSI2-CA10 Fusion FISH Probe
The MSI2-CA10 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the MSI2 and CA10 genes. The fusion of the MSI2 and CA10 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma, and Adrenocortical Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CA10 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the carbonic anhydrase family of zinc metalloenzymes, which catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide in various biological processes. The protein encoded by this gene is an acatalytic member of the alpha-carbonic anhydrase subgroup, and it is thought to play a role in the central nervous system, especially in brain development. Multiple transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Carbonic Anhydrase 10
Chromosome: CHR17: 49707673 -50237377
Locus: 17q21.33-q22
MSI2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes an RNA-binding protein that is a member of the Musashi protein family. The encoded protein is transcriptional regulator that targets genes involved in development and cell cycle regulation. Mutations in this gene are associated with poor prognosis in certain types of cancers. This gene has also been shown to be rearranged in certain cancer cells. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2016]
Gene Name: Musashi RNA Binding Protein 2
Chromosome: CHR17: 55333930 -55757299
Locus: 17q22
