MRRF-NR4A1 Fusion FISH Probe
The MRRF-NR4A1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the MRRF and NR4A1 genes. The fusion of the MRRF and NR4A1 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

NR4A1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the steroid-thyroid hormone-retinoid receptor superfamily. Expression is induced by phytohemagglutinin in human lymphocytes and by serum stimulation of arrested fibroblasts. The encoded protein acts as a nuclear transcription factor. Translocation of the protein from the nucleus to mitochondria induces apoptosis. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2011]
Gene Name: Nuclear Receptor Subfamily 4 Group A Member 1
Chromosome: CHR12: 52416615 -52453291
Locus: 12q13.13
MRRF Gene Summary
This gene encodes a ribosome recycling factor, which is a component of the mitochondrial translational machinery. The encoded protein, along with mitochondrial elongation factor 2, functions in ribosomal recycling at the termination of mitochondrial translation by mediating the disassembly of ribosomes from messenger RNA. A pseudogene of this gene has been identified on chromosome X. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2016]
Gene Name: Mitochondrial Ribosome Recycling Factor
Chromosome: CHR9: 125026881 -125085742
Locus: 9q33.2
