MLL5-LHFPL3 Fusion FISH Probe
The MLL5-LHFPL3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the MLL5 and LHFPL3 genes. The fusion of the MLL5 and LHFPL3 genes has been associated with Ovarian Serous Cystadenocarcinoma, Lung Adenocarcinoma, Lung Adenocarcinoma, Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma, Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma, Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma, Stomach Adenocarcinoma, Stomach Adenocarcinoma, Stomach Adenocarcinoma, Breast Invasive Carcinoma, Skin Cutaneous Melanoma, Esophageal Carcinoma, Uterine Carcinosarcoma, and Stomach Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

LHFPL3 Gene Summary
This gene is a member of the lipoma HMGIC fusion partner (LHFP) gene family, which is a subset of the superfamily of tetraspan transmembrane protein encoding genes. Mutations in one LHFP-like gene result in deafness in humans and mice, and a second LHFP-like gene is fused to a high-mobility group gene in a translocation-associated lipoma.
