MINPP1-ASXL2 Fusion FISH Probe
The MINPP1-ASXL2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the MINPP1 and ASXL2 genes. The fusion of the MINPP1 and ASXL2 genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

MINPP1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes multiple inositol polyphosphate phosphatase; an enzyme that removes 3-phosphate from inositol phosphate substrates. It is the only enzyme known to hydrolzye inositol pentakisphosphate and inositol hexakisphosphate. This enzyme also converts 2,3 bisphosphoglycerate (2,3-BPG) to 2-phosphoglycerate; an activity formerly thought to be exclusive to 2,3-BPG synthase/2-phosphatase (BPGM) in the Rapoport-Luebering shunt of the glycolytic pathway.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]
Gene Name: Multiple Inositol-polyphosphate Phosphatase 1
Chromosome: CHR10: 89264222 -89313218
Locus: 10q23.2
ASXL2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of a family of epigenetic regulators that bind various histone-modifying enzymes and are involved in the assembly of transcription factors at specific genomic loci. Naturally occurring mutations in this gene are associated with cancer in several tissue types (breast, bladder, pancreas, ovary, prostate, and blood). This gene plays an important role in neurodevelopment, cardiac function, adipogenesis, and osteoclastogenesis. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2017]
Gene Name: Additional Sex Combs Like 2, Transcriptional Regulator
Chromosome: CHR2: 25962252 -26101312
Locus: 2p23.3
