MINK1-NQO2 Fusion FISH Probe
The MINK1-NQO2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the MINK1 and NQO2 genes. The fusion of the MINK1 and NQO2 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

NQO2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the thioredoxin family of enzymes. It is a cytosolic and ubiquitously expressed flavoprotein that catalyzes the two-electron reduction of quinone substrates and uses dihydronicotinamide riboside as a reducing coenzyme. Mutations in this gene have been associated with neurodegenerative diseases and several cancers. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2014]
Gene Name: N-ribosyldihydronicotinamide:quinone Reductase 2
Chromosome: CHR6: 3000066 -3019994
Locus: 6p25.2
MINK1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the germinal center kinase (GCK) family. The protein is structurally similar to the kinases that are related to NIK and may belong to a distinct subfamily of NIK-related kinases within the GCK family. Studies of the mouse homolog indicate an up-regulation of expression in the course of postnatal mouse cerebral development and activation of the cJun N-terminal kinase (JNK) and the p38 pathways. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2016]
Gene Name: Misshapen Like Kinase 1
Chromosome: CHR17: 4736634 -4801356
Locus: 17p13.2
