MIB2-ACVR1B Fusion FISH Probe
The MIB2-ACVR1B Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the MIB2 and ACVR1B genes. The fusion of the MIB2 and ACVR1B genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

ACVR1B Gene Summary
This gene encodes an activin A type IB receptor. Activins are dimeric growth and differentiation factors which belong to the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) superfamily of structurally related signaling proteins. Activins signal through a heteromeric complex of receptor serine kinases which include at least two type I and two type II receptors. This protein is a type I receptor which is essential for signaling. Mutations in this gene are associated with pituitary tumors. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.[provided by RefSeq, Jun 2010]
Gene Name: Activin A Receptor Type 1B
Chromosome: CHR12: 52345450 -52390863
Locus: 12q13.13
MIB2 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is an E3 ubiquitin protein ligase that mediates ubiquitination of proteins in the Notch signaling pathway. The encoded protein may be a suppressor of melanoma invasion. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2017]
Gene Name: Mindbomb E3 Ubiquitin Protein Ligase 2
Chromosome: CHR1: 1550794 -1565990
Locus: 1p36.33
