MED15-AHRR Fusion FISH Probe
The MED15-AHRR Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the MED15 and AHRR genes. The fusion of the MED15 and AHRR genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

MED15 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of the multiprotein complexes PC2 and ARC/DRIP and may function as a transcriptional coactivator in RNA polymerase II transcription. This gene contains stretches of trinucleotide repeats and is located in the chromosome 22 region which is deleted in DiGeorge syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Gene Name: Mediator Complex Subunit 15
Chromosome: CHR22: 20861885 -20941919
Locus: 22q11.21
AHRR Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene participates in the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) signaling cascade, which mediates dioxin toxicity, and is involved in regulation of cell growth and differentiation. It functions as a feedback modulator by repressing AhR-dependent gene expression. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]
Gene Name: Aryl-hydrocarbon Receptor Repressor
Chromosome: CHR5: 304290 -438405
Locus: 5p15.33
