MCF2L-STK24 Fusion FISH Probe
The MCF2L-STK24 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the MCF2L and STK24 genes. The fusion of the MCF2L and STK24 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

STK24 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a serine/threonine protein kinase that functions upstream of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling. The encoded protein is cleaved into two chains by caspases; the N-terminal fragment (MST3/N) translocates to the nucleus and promotes programmed cells death. There is a pseudogene for this gene on chromosome X. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2013]
Gene Name: Serine/threonine Kinase 24
Chromosome: CHR13: 99102454 -99229396
Locus: 13q32.2
MCF2L Gene Summary
This gene encodes a guanine nucleotide exchange factor that interacts specifically with the GTP-bound Rac1 and plays a role in the Rho/Rac signaling pathways. A variant in this gene was associated with osteoarthritis. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2016]
Gene Name: MCF.2 Cell Line Derived Transforming Sequence Like
