MAN2A1-HTR4 Fusion FISH Probe
The MAN2A1-HTR4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the MAN2A1 and HTR4 genes. The fusion of the MAN2A1 and HTR4 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

HTR4 Gene Summary
This gene is a member of the family of serotonin receptors, which are G protein coupled receptors that stimulate cAMP production in response to serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine). The gene product is a glycosylated transmembrane protein that functions in both the peripheral and central nervous system to modulate the release of various neurotransmitters. Multiple transcript variants encoding proteins with distinct C-terminal sequences have been described. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]
Gene Name: 5-hydroxytryptamine Receptor 4
Chromosome: CHR5: 147830594 -148016624
Locus: 5q32
MAN2A1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a glycosyl hydrolase that localizes to the Golgi and catalyzes the final hydrolytic step in the asparagine-linked oligosaccharide (N-glycan) maturation pathway. Mutations in the mouse homolog of this gene have been shown to cause a systemic autoimmune disease similar to human systemic lupus erythematosus. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2013]
Gene Name: Mannosidase Alpha Class 2A Member 1
Chromosome: CHR5: 109025155 -109203429
Locus: 5q21.3
