LTBR-PRSS3 Fusion FISH Probe
The LTBR-PRSS3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the LTBR and PRSS3 genes. The fusion of the LTBR and PRSS3 genes has been associated with Kidney Renal Papillary Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

LTBR Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily. The major ligands of this receptor include lymphotoxin alpha/beta and tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 14. The encoded protein plays a role in signalling during the development of lymphoid and other organs, lipid metabolism, immune response, and programmed cell death. Activity of this receptor has also been linked to carcinogenesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2012]
Gene Name: Lymphotoxin Beta Receptor
Chromosome: CHR12: 6493356 -6500732
Locus: 12p13.31
PRSS3 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a trypsinogen, which is a member of the trypsin family of serine proteases. This enzyme is expressed in the brain and pancreas and is resistant to common trypsin inhibitors. It is active on peptide linkages involving the carboxyl group of lysine or arginine. This gene is localized to the locus of T cell receptor beta variable orphans on chromosome 9. Four transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2010]
Gene Name: Protease, Serine 3
Chromosome: CHR9: 33750463 -33799229
Locus: 9p13.3
