The LTBP1-BIRC6 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the LTBP1 and BIRC6 genes. The fusion of the LTBP1 and BIRC6 genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Breast Invasive Carcinoma, Prostate Adenocarcinoma, and Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

The secretion and activation of TGF-betas is regulated by their association with latency-associated proteins and with latent TGF-beta binding proteins. The product of this gene targets latent complexes of transforming growth factor beta to the extracellular matrix, where the latent cytokine is subsequently activated by several different mechanisms.
