LRP12-CCL28 Fusion FISH Probe
The LRP12-CCL28 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the LRP12 and CCL28 genes. The fusion of the LRP12 and CCL28 genes has been associated with Kidney Chromophobe. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

LRP12 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the low-density lipoprotein receptor related protein family. The product of this gene is a transmembrane protein that is differentially expressed in many cancer cells. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2010]
Gene Name: LDL Receptor Related Protein 12
Chromosome: CHR8: 105501458 -105601252
Locus: 8q22.3
CCL28 Gene Summary
This antimicrobial gene belongs to the subfamily of small cytokine CC genes. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for resting CD4 or CD8 T cells and eosinophils. The product of this gene binds to chemokine receptors CCR3 and CCR10. This chemokine may play a role in the physiology of extracutaneous epithelial tissues, including diverse mucosal organs. Multiple transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]
Gene Name: C-C Motif Chemokine Ligand 28
Chromosome: CHR5: 43381599 -43412488
Locus: 5p12
