LMO7-MED4 Fusion FISH Probe
The LMO7-MED4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the LMO7 and MED4 genes. The fusion of the LMO7 and MED4 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

LMO7 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein containing a calponin homology (CH) domain, a PDZ domain, and a LIM domain, and may be involved in protein-protein interactions. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene, however, the full-length nature of some variants is not known. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2009]
Gene Name: LIM Domain 7
Chromosome: CHR13: 76194569 -76434006
Locus: 13q22.2
MED4 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a component of the Mediator complex. The Mediator complex interacts with DNA-binding gene-specific transcription factors to modulate transcription by RNA polymerase II. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2012]
Gene Name: Mediator Complex Subunit 4
Chromosome: CHR13: 48650091 -48669240
Locus: 13q14.2
