LLGL2-CPNE4 Fusion FISH Probe
The LLGL2-CPNE4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the LLGL2 and CPNE4 genes. The fusion of the LLGL2 and CPNE4 genes has been associated with Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

LLGL2 Gene Summary
The lethal (2) giant larvae protein of Drosophila plays a role in asymmetric cell division, epithelial cell polarity, and cell migration. This human gene encodes a protein similar to lethal (2) giant larvae of Drosophila. In fly, the protein's ability to localize cell fate determinants is regulated by the atypical protein kinase C (aPKC). In human, this protein interacts with aPKC-containing complexes and is cortically localized in mitotic cells. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Gene Name: LLGL2, Scribble Cell Polarity Complex Component
Chromosome: CHR17: 73521782 -73571290
Locus: 17q25.1
CPNE4 Gene Summary
This gene belongs to the highly conserved copine family. It encodes a calcium-dependent, phospholipid-binding protein, which may be involved in membrane trafficking, mitogenesis and development. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2014]
Gene Name: Copine 4
Chromosome: CHR3: 131253576 -131753844
Locus: 3q22.1
