LGR5-CNOT2 Fusion FISH Probe
The LGR5-CNOT2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the LGR5 and CNOT2 genes. The fusion of the LGR5 and CNOT2 genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

CNOT2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a subunit of the multi-component CCR4-NOT complex. The CCR4-NOT complex regulates mRNA synthesis and degradation and is also thought to be involved in mRNA splicing, transport and localization. The encoded protein interacts with histone deacetylases and functions as a repressor of polymerase II transcription. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]
Gene Name: CCR4-NOT Transcription Complex Subunit 2
Chromosome: CHR12: 70636773 -70748773
Locus: 12q15
LGR5 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a leucine-rich repeat-containing receptor (LGR) and member of the G protein-coupled, 7-transmembrane receptor (GPCR) superfamily. The encoded protein is a receptor for R-spondins and is involved in the canonical Wnt signaling pathway. This protein plays a role in the formation and maintenance of adult intestinal stem cells during postembryonic development. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]
Gene Name: Leucine Rich Repeat Containing G Protein-coupled Receptor 5
Chromosome: CHR12: 71833812 -71978621
Locus: 12q21.1
