KIF13B-EPN2 Fusion FISH Probe
The KIF13B-EPN2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the KIF13B and EPN2 genes. The fusion of the KIF13B and EPN2 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

EPN2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein which interacts with clathrin and adaptor-related protein complex 2, alpha 1 subunit. The protein is found in a brain-derived clathrin-coated vesicle fraction and localizes to the peri-Golgi region and the cell periphery. The protein is thought to be involved in clathrin-mediated endocytosis. Alternate splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
