KCTD10-TPCN1 Fusion FISH Probe
The KCTD10-TPCN1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the KCTD10 and TPCN1 genes. The fusion of the KCTD10 and TPCN1 genes has been associated with Lung Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

TPCN1 Gene Summary
Voltage-gated Ca(2+) and Na+ channels have 4 homologous domains, each containing 6 transmembrane segments, S1 to S6. TPCN1 is similar to these channels, but it has only 2 domains containing S1 to S6 (Ishibashi et al., 2000 [PubMed 10753632]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
Gene Name: Two Pore Segment Channel 1
Chromosome: CHR12: 113659259 -113736389
Locus: 12q24.13
KCTD10 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene binds proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and may be involved in DNA synthesis and cell proliferation. In addition, the encoded protein may be a tumor suppressor. Several protein-coding and non-protein coding transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]
Gene Name: Potassium Channel Tetramerization Domain Containing 10
Chromosome: CHR12: 109886459 -109915155
Locus: 12q24.11
