JAZF1-EVX1 Fusion FISH Probe
The JAZF1-EVX1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the JAZF1 and EVX1 genes. The fusion of the JAZF1 and EVX1 genes has been associated with Sarcoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

EVX1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the even-skipped homeobox family characterized by the presence of a homeodomain closely related to the Drosophila even-skipped (eve) segmentation gene of the pair-rule class. The encoded protein may play an important role as a transcriptional repressor during embryogenesis. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Even-skipped Homeobox 1
Chromosome: CHR7: 27282163 -27286192
Locus: 7p15.2
JAZF1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a nuclear protein with three C2H2-type zinc fingers, and functions as a transcriptional repressor. Chromosomal aberrations involving this gene are associated with endometrial stromal tumors. Alternatively spliced variants which encode different protein isoforms have been described; however, not all variants have been fully characterized [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: JAZF Zinc Finger 1
Chromosome: CHR7: 27870192 -28220437
Locus: 7p15.2-p15.1
