JARID2-BMP6 Fusion FISH Probe
The JARID2-BMP6 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the JARID2 and BMP6 genes. The fusion of the JARID2 and BMP6 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

Ligands of this family bind various TGF-beta receptors leading to recruitment and activation of SMAD family transcription factors that regulate gene expression. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate each subunit of the disulfide-linked homodimer. This protein regulates a wide range of biological processes including iron homeostasis, fat and bone development, and ovulation. Differential expression of this gene may be associated with progression of breast and prostate cancer. Mutations in this gene may be associated with iron overload in human patients. This protein facilitates the recruitment of the PRC2 complex to target genes. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
