ITSN2-MYO10 Fusion FISH Probe
The ITSN2-MYO10 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ITSN2 and MYO10 genes. The fusion of the ITSN2 and MYO10 genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

MYO10 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the myosin superfamily. The protein represents an unconventional myosin; it should not be confused with the conventional non-muscle myosin-10 (MYH10). Unconventional myosins contain the basic domains of conventional myosins and are further distinguished from class members by their tail domains. This gene functions as an actin-based molecular motor and plays a role in integration of F-actin and microtubule cytoskeletons during meiosis. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2011]
Gene Name: Myosin X
Chromosome: CHR5: 16662015 -16936385
Locus: 5p15.1
ITSN2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a cytoplasmic protein which contains SH3 domains. This protein is a member of a family of proteins involved in clathrin-mediated endocytosis. Intersectin 2 is thought to regulate the formation of clathrin-coated vesicles and also may function in the induction of T cell antigen receptor (TCR) endocytosis. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2017]
Gene Name: Intersectin 2
Chromosome: CHR2: 24425734 -24583397
Locus: 2p23.3
