ITGB5-PARP14 Fusion FISH Probe
The ITGB5-PARP14 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ITGB5 and PARP14 genes. The fusion of the ITGB5 and PARP14 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ITGB5 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a beta subunit of integrin, which can combine with different alpha chains to form a variety of integrin heterodimers. Integrins are integral cell-surface receptors that participate in cell adhesion as well as cell-surface mediated signaling. The alphav beta5 integrin is involved in adhesion to vitronectin. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2017]
Gene Name: Integrin Subunit Beta 5
Chromosome: CHR3: 124481794 -124606144
Locus: 3q21.2
PARP14 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) protein family. The encoded anti-apoptotic protein may regulate aerobic glycolysis and promote survival of cancer cells. Increased expression of this gene has been reported in a variety of tumor types. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2016]
Gene Name: Poly(ADP-ribose) Polymerase Family Member 14
Chromosome: CHR3: 122399671 -122449687
Locus: 3q21.1
