IRF2BP2-SP2 Fusion FISH Probe
The IRF2BP2-SP2 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the IRF2BP2 and SP2 genes. The fusion of the IRF2BP2 and SP2 genes has been associated with Pheochromocytoma And Paraganglioma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

SP2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the Sp subfamily of Sp/XKLF transcription factors. Sp family proteins are sequence-specific DNA-binding proteins characterized by an amino-terminal trans-activation domain and three carboxy-terminal zinc finger motifs. This protein contains the least conserved DNA-binding domain within the Sp subfamily of proteins, and its DNA sequence specificity differs from the other Sp proteins. It localizes primarily within subnuclear foci associated with the nuclear matrix, and can activate or in some cases repress expression from different promoters. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Sp2 Transcription Factor
Chromosome: CHR17: 45973515 -46006323
Locus: 17q21.32
IRF2BP2 Gene Summary
This gene encodes an interferon regulatory factor-2 (IRF2) binding protein that interacts with the C-terminal transcriptional repression domain of IRF2. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Interferon Regulatory Factor 2 Binding Protein 2
