IQCK-ABCC1 Fusion FISH Probe
The IQCK-ABCC1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the IQCK and ABCC1 genes. The fusion of the IQCK and ABCC1 genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ABCC1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra-and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This full transporter is a member of the MRP subfamily which is involved in multi-drug resistance. This protein functions as a multispecific organic anion transporter, with oxidized glutatione, cysteinyl leukotrienes, and activated aflatoxin B1 as substrates. This protein also transports glucuronides and sulfate conjugates of steroid hormones and bile salts. Alternatively spliced variants of this gene have been described but their full-length nature is unknown. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2012]
Gene Name: ATP Binding Cassette Subfamily C Member 1

IQCK Gene Summary
This gene belongs to the IQ motif-containing family of proteins. The IQ motif serves as a binding site for different EF-hand proteins such as calmodulin. This gene was identified as a potential candidate gene for obsessive-compulsive disorder in a genome-wide association study. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants.
