IP6K1-MON1A Fusion FISH Probe
The IP6K1-MON1A Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the IP6K1 and MON1A genes. The fusion of the IP6K1 and MON1A genes has been associated with Bladder Urothelial Carcinoma, and Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

IP6K1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the inositol phosphokinase family. The encoded protein may be responsible for the conversion of inositol hexakisphosphate (InsP6) to diphosphoinositol pentakisphosphate (InsP7/PP-InsP5). It may also convert 1,3,4,5,6-pentakisphosphate (InsP5) to PP-InsP4. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]
Gene Name: Inositol Hexakisphosphate Kinase 1
Chromosome: CHR3: 49761727 -49823973
