INVS-RPA3 Fusion FISH Probe
The INVS-RPA3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the INVS and RPA3 genes. The fusion of the INVS and RPA3 genes has been associated with Uterine Corpus Endometrial Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

RPA3 Gene Summary
The Replication Protein A3 (RPA3) gene is located on chr7 :7676574-7758238 at 7p21.3.
Gene Name: Replication Protein A3
Chromosome: CHR7: 7676574 -7758238
Locus: 7p21.3
INVS Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein containing multiple ankyrin domains and two IQ calmodulin-binding domains. The encoded protein may function in renal tubular development and function, and in left-right axis determination. This protein interacts with nephrocystin and infers a connection between primary cilia function and left-right axis determination. A similar protein in mice interacts with calmodulin. Mutations in this gene have been associated with nephronophthisis type 2. Multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2012]
