ING4-A2ML1 Fusion FISH Probe
The ING4-A2ML1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the ING4 and A2ML1 genes. The fusion of the ING4 and A2ML1 genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ING4 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a tumor suppressor protein that contains a PHD-finger, which is a common motif in proteins involved in chromatin remodeling. This protein can bind TP53 and EP300/p300, a component of the histone acetyl transferase complex, suggesting its involvement in the TP53-dependent regulatory pathway. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed that encode distinct proteins. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Inhibitor Of Growth Family Member 4
Chromosome: CHR12: 6759703 -6772308
Locus: 12p13.31
A2ML1 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the alpha-macroglobulin superfamily. The encoded protein is thought to be an N-glycosylated monomeric protein that acts as an inhibitor of several proteases. It has been shown to form covalent interactions with proteases, and has been reported as the p170 antigen recognized by autoantibodies in the autoimmune disease paraneoplastic pemphigus (PNP; PMID:20805888). Mutations in these gene have also been associated with some cases of Noonan syndrome (NS; PMID:24939586) as well as some cases of otitis media (PMID:26121085). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2015]
