IMMP2L-DOCK4 Fusion FISH Probe
The IMMP2L-DOCK4 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the IMMP2L and DOCK4 genes. The fusion of the IMMP2L and DOCK4 genes has been associated with Stomach Adenocarcinoma, Esophageal Carcinoma, and Prostate Adenocarcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

DOCK4 Gene Summary
This gene is a member of the dedicator of cytokinesis (DOCK) family and encodes a protein with a DHR-1 (CZH-1) domain, a DHR-2 (CZH-2) domain and an SH3 domain. This membrane-associated, cytoplasmic protein functions as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor and is involved in regulation of adherens junctions between cells. Mutations in this gene have been associated with ovarian, prostate, glioma, and colorectal cancers. Alternatively spliced variants which encode different protein isoforms have been described, but only one has been fully characterized. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Name: Dedicator Of Cytokinesis 4
Chromosome: CHR7: 111366163 -111846462
Locus: 7q31.1
IMMP2L Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein involved in processing the signal peptide sequences used to direct mitochondrial proteins to the mitochondria. The encoded protein resides in the mitochondria and is one of the necessary proteins for the catalytic activity of the mitochondrial inner membrane peptidase (IMP) complex. Two variants that encode the same protein have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]
Gene Name: Inner Mitochondrial Membrane Peptidase Subunit 2
Chromosome: CHR7: 110303109 -111202347
Locus: 7q31.1
