The IGF1R-PRPS1 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the IGF1R and PRPS1 genes. The fusion of the IGF1R and PRPS1 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

Cleavage of the precursor generates alpha and beta subunits. It is highly overexpressed in most malignant tissues where it functions as an anti-apoptotic agent by enhancing cell survival.
