IGF1R-ARID1B Fusion FISH Probe
The IGF1R-ARID1B Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the IGF1R and ARID1B genes. The fusion of the IGF1R and ARID1B genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

IGF1R Gene Summary
This receptor binds insulin-like growth factor with a high affinity. It has tyrosine kinase activity. The insulin-like growth factor I receptor plays a critical role in transformation events. Cleavage of the precursor generates alpha and beta subunits. It is highly overexpressed in most malignant tissues where it functions as an anti-apoptotic agent by enhancing cell survival. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2014]
Gene Name: Insulin Like Growth Factor 1 Receptor
Chromosome: CHR15: 99192760 -99507759
Locus: 15q26.3
ARID1B Gene Summary
This locus encodes an AT-rich DNA interacting domain-containing protein. The encoded protein is a component of the SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex and may play a role in cell-cycle activation. The protein encoded by this locus is similar to AT-rich interactive domain-containing protein 1A. These two proteins function as alternative, mutually exclusive ARID-subunits of the SWI/SNF complex. The associated complexes play opposing roles. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2016]
Gene Name: AT-rich Interaction Domain 1B
Chromosome: CHR6: 157099063 -157531913
Locus: 6q25.3
