HTATSF1-BRS3 Fusion FISH Probe
The HTATSF1-BRS3 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the HTATSF1 and BRS3 genes. The fusion of the HTATSF1 and BRS3 genes has been associated with Testicular Germ Cell Tumors, Breast Invasive Carcinoma, Colon Adenocarcinoma, Thyroid Carcinoma, Lung Adenocarcinoma, Pheochromocytoma And Paraganglioma, Pheochromocytoma And Paraganglioma, and Thymoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

BRS3 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a G protein-coupled membrane receptor that binds bombesin-like peptides. This binding results in activation of a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system, with physiological effects including regulation of metabolic rate, glucose metabolism, and hypertension. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2011]
Gene Name: Bombesin Receptor Subtype 3
Chromosome: CHRX: 135570124 -135574598
Locus: Xq26.3
HTATSF1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene functions as a cofactor for the stimulation of transcriptional elongation by HIV-1 Tat, which binds to the HIV-1 promoter through Tat-TAR interaction. This protein may also serve as a dual-function factor to couple transcription and splicing and to facilitate their reciprocal activation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]
Gene Name: HIV-1 Tat Specific Factor 1
Chromosome: CHRX: 135579237 -135594503
Locus: Xq26.3
