GTSE1-TTC38 Fusion FISH Probe
The GTSE1-TTC38 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GTSE1 and TTC38 genes. The fusion of the GTSE1 and TTC38 genes has been associated with Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.

GTSE1 Gene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is only expressed in the S and G2 phases of the cell cycle, where it colocalizes with cytoplasmic tubulin and microtubules. In response to DNA damage, the encoded protein accumulates in the nucleus and binds the tumor suppressor protein p53, shuttling it out of the nucleus and repressing its ability to induce apoptosis.
