GTF3C2-WDR35 Fusion FISH Probe
The GTF3C2-WDR35 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GTF3C2 and WDR35 genes. The fusion of the GTF3C2 and WDR35 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

GTF3C2 Gene Summary
The General Transcription Factor IIIC Subunit 2 (GTF3C2) gene is located on chr2 :27548720-27579868 at 2p23.3.
Gene Name: General Transcription Factor IIIC Subunit 2
Chromosome: CHR2: 27548720 -27579868
Locus: 2p23.3
WDR35 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a member of the WD repeat protein family. WD repeats are minimally conserved regions of approximately 40 amino acids typically bracketed by gly-his and trp-asp (GH-WD), which may facilitate formation of heterotrimeric or multiprotein complexes. Members of this family are involved in a variety of cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, signal transduction, apoptosis, and gene regulation. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene. Two patients with Sensenbrenner syndrome / cranioectodermal dysplasia (CED) were identified with mutations in this gene, consistent with a possible ciliary function.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2010]
Gene Name: WD Repeat Domain 35
Chromosome: CHR2: 20110028 -20189884
Locus: 2p24.1
