GTF2H1-HPS5 Fusion FISH Probe
The GTF2H1-HPS5 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GTF2H1 and HPS5 genes. The fusion of the GTF2H1 and HPS5 genes has been associated with Breast Invasive Carcinoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

GTF2H1 Gene Summary
The General Transcription Factor IIH Subunit 1 (GTF2H1) gene is located on chr11 :18343815-18388590 at 11p15.1.
Gene Name: General Transcription Factor IIH Subunit 1
Chromosome: CHR11: 18343815 -18388590
Locus: 11p15.1
HPS5 Gene Summary
This gene encodes a protein that may play a role in organelle biogenesis associated with melanosomes, platelet dense granules, and lysosomes. This protein interacts with Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome 6 protein and may interact with the cytoplasmic domain of integrin, alpha-3. Mutations in this gene are associated with Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome type 5. Multiple transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene. Gene Name: HPS5, Biogenesis Of Lysosomal Organelles Complex 2 Subunit 2
Chromosome: CHR11: 18300216 -18343721
Locus: 11p15.1
