GTF2F1-ACP5 Fusion FISH Probe
The GTF2F1-ACP5 Fusion FISH Probe is used to confirm a fusion of the GTF2F1 and ACP5 genes. The fusion of the GTF2F1 and ACP5 genes has been associated with Skin Cutaneous Melanoma. These probes are FISH confirmed on normal peripheral blood in both interphase nuclei and metaphase spreads before shipment. Typical turnaround time for this product is 7-14 days after purchase.
** This product is for in vitro and research use only. This product is not intended for diagnostic use. Please note that both genes fall on the same chromosome and inter-chromosomal detection may be difficult to detect depending on the genes proximity to one another. Please consult our support staff before ordering this product to ensure that the probe can be designed to meet your specific needs.

ACP5 Gene Summary
This gene encodes an iron containing glycoprotein which catalyzes the conversion of orthophosphoric monoester to alcohol and orthophosphate. It is the most basic of the acid phosphatases and is the only form not inhibited by L(+)-tartrate. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2008]
Gene Name: Acid Phosphatase 5, Tartrate Resistant
Chromosome: CHR19: 11685474 -11689801
Locus: 19p13.2
GTF2F1 Gene Summary
The General Transcription Factor IIF Subunit 1 (GTF2F1) gene is located on chr19 :6379579-6393291 at 19p13.3.
